So, where is Commander Sphongmo Shepard? How come he has not yet boarded the Normandy and taken over Deviant Art with his moustache and goofy antiques? That's a very good question my good friend, one I shall try to answer right now.
Well, the sad answer is, he's still waiting for me to stop playing the game and actually start drawing stuff
It won't come as a big surprise that Mass Effect is a rather all-consuming business for me. I have played through both ME1 and ME2 a rather large number of times throughout the course of the last few years, and while I'm done with the first play-through in ME3, I am barely scratching the surface of experiencing everything the game has to offer. And that is not even talking about the multiplayer part of the game...
Ah, the multiplayer part of the game. I've never been one for multiplayer what with being absolutely terrible at it and always ending up on the wrong end of a BFG 9000 all those years ago. Heck, I haven't owned a gold account EVER before last week. And now, I think I may be terribly addicted to multiplayer, especially when working with a very tight group of friends who share my interests, likes of Mass Effect and method of play (we don't play to win, or beat the game or whatever, we just set the mode to Bronze missions, go out and have fun goofing around and sniping stuff... and we're actually pretty good at it)
So, there, you have it, Commander Sphongmo Shepard is too busy being Commander Shepard in the game for translating to paper adventures at the moment. And that's not counting Cylo Shepard, John Shepard, Jane Shepard, Rai Shepard, Jessica Shepard and Kathryn Shepard, and all those other Shepards who are yet to come.
The good news is I'm gathering a lot of cool material and great ideas for strips and I have sketches of new enemies (Cerberus troops are fun to draw) and characters (EDI anyone?) I also have several strips either sketched or written down. All I need really is more time in front of the desktop computer (I'm typing on a laptop right now) and more time away from the Xbox 360... both of which are unfortunately sitting about 6 feet from one another. Do not despair as April is the month I get back to drawing. I knew March was going to be the lost month, lost to Mass Effect 3 and countless hours of amazing game-play, story telling and shooting stuff with a sniper rifle.
As for the ending, I loved it. I'll leave it at that. I am trying to keep the adventures of Sphongmo as spoiler free as I can make them so everybody out there gets a chance to experience the game in its fullest in their own time, so please help me keep it that way

And that multiplayer is RIDICULOUSLY addicting.
I don't care what anyone else says, Bioware ACED it with ME3!
...incidentally, do you play on PS3 or Xbox?
And I play on Xbox 360.
So much for making an epic team-up online...except not really since I tend to die a lot whenever I rush in. *sheepish laugh*
So yeah, I really just don't see why they're all so up in arms over the game. I thought they did it pretty good!
...about the only good thing that came out of the fans' unhappiness was the legend of Marauder Shields. Who is actually pretty epic even if you don't have a problem with the ending.
GREEN ENDING FTW!
No worries about online, I'm not that good at it either (hide in a corner and cloaks)
...best moment ever: Seeing a Cerberus engineer drop a turret, activate it, only for it to turn around, mow HIM down, three of his teammates AND a Phantom.
Meanwhile I'm hiding in a corner watching points racking up on my screen and dying of laughter.
...then the Atlas punched me. DX
MAN.
I just hack EVERYTHING.
Just give her a Raptor, and that's IT. Hack cools down in less than five seconds, and by the time the rest of my team can do anything besides go "WTF?" Most of the heavy Geth units are busy ripping their own side to shreds.
*sniff* it's so nice to see those damn flamethrowers working FOR me for a change...
Now if only I could hack an Atlas...
But yeah, she's useless against Reapers. Man those guys are just UNFAIR!
