Description
Hi all,
something a little different from my usual deviations, if not in style, at least in context. A few months back I started working on children books using the bubble style, first as an exercise for myself, to see if I could actually do it and take the project to completion. Along the way I have enjoyed the process immensely and decided that I wanted to take it further and possibly pursue this as a professional opportunity.
I attended the SCBWI conference in New York last week where I met a lot of bright and talented people, writers and illustrators. Such a rush to be surrounded by so many passionated and talented people!
And this is why I am currently cleaning up my gallery: to make room for more of that new stuff (and, yes, for more Sphongmo content next month as well)
This is a sample page from my second book "dummy" called Ten Little Pirates. You can learn more about it on the blog (getting fancy and all)
So, a little bit of familiar (the style) and a little bit of new (the context) I hope you'll like these as much as my previous illustrations, and hopefully more
Let me know what you think in the comments below, I love hearing from all of you guys! And thanks for your continuous support in checking out the gallery: it means a lot to me to know there are people out there who enjoy looking at the stuff I draw, you guys really help me to keep going!

This is such a cute idea! I love the video-game-esque style, not only is it adorable but it may catch the attention of reluctant readers! I look forward to seeing what comes of this story!
